As Group Operations Director & Regional Director N/W Polar Motor Company Limited

Objective

Manage all Polar Ford operations, re-structure to CMA model, acquire and merge businesses to create the Polar motor group. Regionalised cluster accounting throughout the group.

Key milestones:

1. Achieved in one division post September 1999 the highest ever Ford CMA turnaround in excess of £3m in one year.
2. Led the restructure to a flat, regionalized CMA approach. Handled the operational side of several acquisitions, business transfers, closures, consolidations and refurbishments.
3. Pilot for, architect and implementation of shared-services facility in Newcastle which was subsequently disbanded but used as the model for regionalised cluster accounting throughout the group.
