Duties and Responsibilities

? Negotiate with the relevant manufacturers and other contacts in order to source used cars for the sales managers of the region.
? Liaise daily with all sales managers in the Region to maintain and supply against their requirements to fullfill current orders and stock requirements as they see fit.
? To stay permanently appraised of current market values.
? To liaise with sales management on a car by car basis before making purchases or to refer to general or regional management prior.
? Establish, grow and maintain strong links with all suppliers including major leasing companies and disposal managers.
? Maintain strong links with Sales managers.
? Identify further opportunities for the sales managers in the Region.
? Agree with Regional Director and retail Operator when higher authority maybe needed to exploit new opportunities.
? Meet with manufacturers on a regular basis.
? Constantly review potential new purchase opportunities and outlets.
? Handle complaints effectively resolving them to the satisfaction of the customer and the company
? Help to ensure that vehicle preparation, presentation and display is of a high standard and units are re-arranged/featured for maximum impact
? Obtain retail stock through imaginative sources at optimal market prices ensuring effective profit per unit
? Help to ensure that the company policy regarding auction disposal is fully adhered to.
? Ensure that the overall valuation of the vehicle inventory is market realistic and where applicable, that used stock is compared to CAP on a monthly basis at the beginning of each month and full individual records kept.
? Help to control vehicle stock levels and keep within defined maximum stock value to ensure that the company used vehicle ageing policy is adhered to. Check that accurate inventories are maintained and ensure that the prescribed stock balance exercise is carried out weekly and that records are kept

? Help to ensure that vehicles are accurately appraised for trade-in and that where applicable, robust reconditioning controls are in place where vehicles are either pre-prepared or known prior to sale.

? Act as and when required as a stand in sales controller at any of the businesses to cover for illness and holidays.
? Ensure high standards of administration and timely delivery of vehicles.
? Work to develop rapport with the manufacturer and fellow managers
? Carry out other duties as required from time to time
